To provide high-quality electrical service and construction to our customers, while working safely and efficiently towards a better future. We are dedicated to professionalism, customer satisfaction, quality of work, and safety. Established in August of 2009, A. West Enterprise, LLC was founded under the principles of a true merit shop contractor. A merit shop is an organization whose employees’ hiring, promotion, salary adjustments, bonuses, and termination are assessed with the individual’s ability to accomplish the tasks assigned to them by their employer. These decisions will not be biased by age, race, national origin, organizational affiliation, seniority, color, creed, or sex.
A. West Enterprise was founded in August of 2009 by Angie West, Eddie West, Garrison Jones, Lavon Davis, and Jeremy Meads as a woman-owned small business. With little capital investment, a small workforce, an avalanche of certifications to be attained, and no name recognition, A. West Enterprise seemed destined for the abyss that had claimed many businesses during the worst economic recession since the Great Depression. The company was awarded its first contracts at home in Albany, Georgia. Soon we began winning jobs and earning a reputation among clients and competitors with completed projects in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, and North Carolina. With more than 60 employees, A. West has continued to grow with completed projects as far west as New Mexico and as far north as Ohio. In 2013, A. West Enterprise earned the award of Albany’s Small Business of the Year. In 2015 and 2016, we earned the Blue Ribbon Small Business award presented by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, naming us a top 100 small business in the nation. We continue to grow not only as a business and community leader, but in our knowledge so that we may always provide the best service possible to our customers.
Giving back to our community is second nature to us. Our company officers are highly engaged in civic, business, and charitable organizations. As active community leaders, we stay connected to the needs of our neighbors. Our service comes in the form of volunteer hours, monetary sponsorships, and partnerships. We are passionate about veterans, and we focus most of our efforts on programs that support and recognize these heroes. We also support our regional schools and SkillsUSA competitions, along with events that foster small business development.
